Valley County

Valley County is Montana's 27th most populous county with 7,349 residents (2000 census).   The county is 5,062 square miles in area; 4,921 in land area and 141 in inland water area.
 
Valley county is home to Fort Peck Lake and Dam.  The Lake has 1,600 miles of shoreline, more than the state of California.  The Lake encompasses the 1,000,000 acre Charles M. Valley County has abundant hunting and fishing opportunities as well as other recreational activities including bowling, tennis, golf, hockey, basketball, swimming, baseball/softball, and bicycling.  A youth fishing pond is also available for young anglers.
